Usage
 Do not drill into asbestos cement to prevent damage to your health. Always make sure
that you have sufficient ventilation. Watch the dust concentration in the air, and if
necessary, stop work.
 Always use safety glasses. If you are drilling into materials that produce dust, wear
breathing protection.
 Do not let the device become damp or operate the device in damp surroundings.
 Always hold the drill with both hands on the provided handles.
 Only use suitable and sharp drill bits to ensure safe and effective drilling work.
 First, place the drill bit onto the point that you want to drill, and then gradually turn the
machine on.
 Drilling into metal: if possible, make an indentation in the point that you want to drill on the
metal to prevent the drill from sliding away.
 You may need to use coolant. You can purchase appropriate coolant at your hardware
store. Always ask for advice on usage.
 You can turn a drill bit out of the workpiece after it has become jammed by switching the
turning correction of the drill.
 You can use your drill as an electric screwdriver with the appropriate screwdriver bit
fitting. Set the drill to a low turning speed.
 Only change the turning direction of the drill with the machine switched off.
Changing the chuck
 Remove the mains plug before changing the chuck.
 Open the camp as far as it will go.
 Loosen the screw at the bottom of the chuck with a screwdriver (anticlockwise thread)
Maintenance and servicing
The drill is maintenance-free. Have a qualified electrician or an appropriate service centre
check the contact brushes at regular intervals, and change them if necessary. Always keep
the ventilation slits free and clean. Only clean them with a soft brush. Keep the grips and
switch dry and free of oil and grease.
Occasionally clean the housing with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents since they may attack
the housing.
Spareparts, old tools and environmental protection
Only replace lost or defective parts with original spares.
 If your power tool has been so heavily used that it has become worn out and has to be
replaced, or you have no further use for it, you must turn the power tool in at a central
recycling centre for disposal.
 Please contact your community waste collection service or local authority to find out
where you can hand in your tool for disposal.
 Power tools contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. You will contribute to
recycling valuable raw materials by handing your tool in at a central waste disposal
centre.
