► Switch off the brushcutter and remove the bat‐
tery.

► Release the quick release clamp (2).
► Move the loop handle (1) to the required posi‐
tion and check that the following conditions
are met:
– The bump guard (3) fits between the loop
handle (1) and the carrying ring.
– a = Push the loop handle no farther than the
red marking (4) on the warning symbol.
► Close the quick release clamp (2) so that the
loop handle (1) cannot be rotated on the shaft
any longer.
9.3
Balancing the brushcutter
The battery and cutting attachment affect the bal‐
ance of the brushcutter. The brushcutter must be
balanced with the attached cutting attachment
and the battery that is used.
The brushcutter is balanced differently depend‐
ing on the cutting attachment used.
If a mowing head is attached:
The mowing head must just touch the ground.
If a metal cutting attachment is attached:

10 Removing and Fitting the Battery
The metal cutting attachment must be at a height
of about 20 cm above the ground.
► Switch off the brushcutter
► Connect the carrying ring (2) to the carabi‐
ner (1).
► Wait for brushcutter to stop swinging.
► Check the position of cutting attachment. If it
needs adjustment:

► Loosen the screw (3).
► Move the carrying ring (2) up or down the
shaft until a correct balanced position is
reached.
► Tighten the screw (3) securely.
10 Removing and Fitting the
Battery
10.1
Inserting the Battery
► Insert the battery (1) up to the limit stop into
the battery compartment (2).
The battery (1) engages with a click and is
now locked.

Removing the Battery
► Set the brushcutter on a level surface.
