Notes on the battery-operated radio-controlled drive unit
– Protect external roller blind / radio drive unit from knocks during trans-
portation, storage and installation.
– Use only the charger approved by MHZ!
– The rechargeable battery is shipped partially charged.
rior to first use, the battery must be fully charged takes c. 6 hours .
– In subsequent operation, the time required to charge the battery when
fully discharged is c. 3 hours.
In order to preserve the battery s charge capacity, it should be
recharged at least every 6 months.
– The red LED on the charger lights up when the charger is plugged in
and indicates that charging is in progress. The battery is fully charged as
soon as the green LED comes on.
– Battery operating duration is dependent on blind unit size, fabric weight
and outside temperature. With average use the charging cycle is 3-6
months.
Battery and radio drive are fitted as one unit inside the roller blind tube.
A defective battery can only be removed and disposed of together with
the drive unit.
– Remote control range in enclosed buildings: c. 20 m.
– The setting of the end positions is retained even when the battery has
discharged.
– Radio drive and control system components are not compatible with
other manufacturers products.
– No synchronous running when using group control.
– At temperatures below freezing point, it is possible that when operating
the roller blind the blind fabric will be slower starting to move.
– At temperatures below -10° Celsius the blind should not be used/
operated.
– A low battery level is signalled by the drive system with multiple beeps
every time the blind moves. The battery should be immediately re-
charged in order to ensure the the blind functions flawlessly.
– If the roller blind stops due to the battery level being too low, the
battery is not yet close to being fully discharged. It should, however, be
charged as soon as possible so that it does not become so.
- Solar panel (optional): In order for it to function perfectly it should be
exposed to direct sunlight and be cleaned at regular intervals (at least
twice a year) using a damp cloth (lukewarm water). Otherwise it may
become necessary during the darker months of the year to additionally
charge the battery using a charger.
