Once the Malossi electronic control
unit has been installed, vehicle
diagnosis will no longer be able
to communicate with the Piaggio
diagnostic tester. The Check Engine
light on the other hand maintains
its capacity to notify of any faults. If
problems are notified, we recommend
reinstalling the original electronic
control unit to check the type of
error by starting the engine up. Of
course, the engine will not work
properly because the calibration is not
compatible, however this procedure
will allow you to store the engine's
problems on the electronic control unit
in order to solve them.
The Malossi Engine Control Unit is
made for vehicles that original have an
IMMOBILIZER key, but do NOT have
the Immobilzer internally. Only the LED
on the dash will remain active.
Key coding procedures is
not necessary.
NB: Only for Euro 4 versions
(5518205 - 5518409)
The kit is supplied with an intake
manifold which must necessarily
replace the original one
(Fig. 3, part. 3).
