Intended purpose
1.1.Neojet NJ2000
The Neojet NJ2000 is a disposable product for nCPAP therapy/non-invasive ventilation therapy for premature babies and ne-
onates. The Neojet forms the interface to the patient. It is used in combination with a CPAP driver or a ventilator to supply the
Neojet with the necessary gas.
1.2.Bonnets, masks, prongs
The bonnets, masks and prongs are products for use for nCPAP therapy or non-invasive ventilation of premature babies and
neonates. They should be used in combination with Neojet nCPAP generators. The bonnets are available in various sizes and
are used to secure the nCPAP generators and the masks and prongs in position. The masks and prongs are disposable silicone
adapters which create the contact between the nCPAP system and the patient. The different sizes enable the gentlest and most
leaktight possible connection to be made to the patient's nose.

Functional principle and technical specification
2.1.Neojet
The Neojet is a patient interface which can be used in combination with a CPAP driver or in CPAP mode with certain ventilators.
The Neojet is connected to the CPAP driver or ventilator by means of the ventilation tube. The parameters are set on the CPAP
driver or ventilator. The CPAP driver or the ventilator provides the necessary gas flow. The prong mask adapter can be tilted on
the disposable Neojet NJ2000 product. This allows the direction of the Neojet to be adapted to suit the anatomy of the baby's
nose, making it easier to secure it in position.
A silicone prong or a silicone mask selected to suit the size of the baby is attached to the prong mask adapter. The prong or mask
ensures gentle contact between the CPAP equipment and the baby's nose.
The Neojet itself is attached to the bonnet the baby is wearing.

2.2.Bonnets, masks, prongs
A split piece of fleece fabric is sewn to the top of the polyamide bonnets. A foam wedge (Neofoam for Neojet) is positioned be-
tween the fleece parts, the Neojet is put inside and is secured with a separate hook and loop retaining strap. The additional
straps included with the product are used to stabilize masks or prong position and their hook and loop ends allow them to be
positioned anywhere on the bonnet fabric.
The masks and prongs are made of 100 % silicone. They each contain eyes for attaching the straps to the bonnet. They also include
a pair of holes for connecting to the Neojet; the tilting adapter of the Neojet is pushed into these holes.
