ENGINE SWITCHING ON AND OFF
The engine is not provided with dashboard/control panel.
For information on the commands and control devices, see the documentation provided by
the manufacturer of the vehicle in which the engine is installed.

Before starting the engine, always
make sure that there are no people or
things at risk of contact with the engine
parts.

Never start the engine by short-circu-
iting the electrical connections of the
starter motor: the vehicle where the
engine is installed could start moving
unwanted with a risk to the physical
safety of people and nearby things.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
Do not use the starter motor
excessively, subjecting it to repeated
switching on and off. Space out the
starter motor use in order to avoid its
overheating and damage.

Use the starter motor only for starting
the engine: avoid using the starter
motor for any other engine operating
function.

Before starting or restarting the engine,
always make sure that the engine and
starter motor are completely stopped.
Do not attempt to restart the engine
while it is already running or in any
case when any of its components are
still in motion.
DANGER - WARNING
When starting the engine, do not use
aerosols, such as ether, which could
cause explosion and personal injury.
IMPORTANT
Before switching off the engine, make
it run with no load and at idle speed
for a few minutes, in order to avoid
damaging the turbocharger.
Respect the instructions of the
manufacturer of the vehicle in which
the engine is installed.
Do not accelerate the engine before
switching it off.
