The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most probable situations that may arise during the use
of this machine.
Check all the documentation, packaging and product labels before using it. If you encounter a situation not described in
this manual use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible and, if you see any danger, do not use the machine.
USERS
This machine has been designed to be manipulated by users of legal age who have read and understood these
instructions. Do not allow people under age and people who do not understand these instructions to use the
machine.
Familiarise yourself with this machine before using it. Make sure you know where all the controls are, the security
devices and how they should be used.
If you are an inexperienced user, it is highly recommend that you practice doing simple jobs and, if possible, in
the company of an experienced person.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Be alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating this machine.
Avoid inhaling exhaust fumes. This machine produces dangerous fumes such as carbon monoxide that can cause
dizziness, fainting or death.
Do not use this machine if tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Never operate the machine with defective protections, or without safety devices.
Remove all keys or tools from the machine and from the work area before starting this machine. A key or tool
left near the machine can be touched by a part of the moving machine and be projected causing personal injury.
Always keep proper footing and operate the machine only when standing on a fixed, secure and levelled surface.
Sliding or unstable surfaces can make you lose your balance or control of the machine.
Before starting the machine, make sure that the cutting element is not in contact with any object. A moment of
neglect during the operation of the machine can cause an incident.
Hold the machine with your right hand on the throttle grip and your left hand on the other grip. Holding this
machine with the wrong hand increases the risk of a body accident and should never be done.
The cutting tool is very sharp. If you do not follow the instructions it can cause severe injury.
Keep your body away from the cutting tool when using the machine.
Never hold the machine by the cutting device. The cutting device has sharp edges that can hurt you.
Take extreme caution when making holes in soil with stones, as these can be projected towards you, or cause
you to lose your balance.
If you are an inexperienced user, it is highly recommended that you perform a minimum practice on a flat surface.
If the machine vibrates abnormally stop the engine, inspect the machine for the possible cause and repair it. If
you can not find the fault, take your machine to your Technical Service.
Do not touch the exhaust of the machine with the engine running or just after stopping it.
Do not leave this machine running without supervision.
Proper handling of the machine will reduce the likelihood of accidental contact with the cutting elements.
Remember that the operator of the machine is responsible for the dangers and accidents caused to other people
or things. The manufacturer will not be liable for damages caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine.
