Section 1 Introduction
This document describes how to configure a GS1440 or GS2440EX sensor that is connected to a
CDx440sc gateway and an SC Controller.
Section 2 Configure the sensor settings
Set the number of measurements used to calculate the average measurement shown on the display,
date logging interval, a calibration reminder and H
1. For an SC200 Controller, do the steps that follow:
a. Push the menu key.
b. Select SENSOR SETUP > CONFIGURE.
2. For an SC1000 Controller, do the steps that follow:
a. Select the Main Menu button from the pop-up toolbar.
b. Select SENSOR SETUP > CONFIGURE.
3. For an SC4500 Controller, do the steps that follow:
a. Select the main menu icon, then select Devices.
b. Select the sensor and select Device menu > Settings.

Description
Changes the name that corresponds to the gateway (default: serial number of the
gateway). Enter any combination of letters, numbers, spaces or punctuation.
Sets the number of measurements used to calculate the average measurement
shown on the display and saved to the data log. Options: 1 (default) to 12
Note: The measurements are done at 5-second intervals.
Liquid interval ( or LIQUID INTERVAL)—Sets the time interval at which liquid
measurements (mg/L H
S) are saved to the data log (default: 5 minutes). Options:

DISABLED or 5 seconds to 6 hours
Gas interval ( or GAS INTERVAL)—Sets the time interval at which air
measurements (ppm H
S) are saved to the data log (default: 5 minutes). Options:

DISABLED or 5 seconds to 6 hours
Temperature interval (or TEMP INTERVAL)—Sets the time interval at which
temperature measurements are saved to the data log (default: 5 minutes). Options:
DISABLED or 5 seconds to 6 hours
Sets a reminder for the next calibration. Options: 1 to 90 days (default: 30). The
reminder Calibration is due (or CALIBRATION DUE shows on the display after the
selected interval.
Note: When a sensor calibration is done, set the Days since last calibration (or
DAYS SINCE CAL) counter to 0 . Refer to

Sets the maximum value for liquid measurements (mg/L H
more than the maximum value, the warning "The H₂S liquid measurement is above
limit." (or "LIQUID ABOVE LIMIT") shows on the display. Options: 0.000 to
5.000 (default)
