HOT ENGINE MANUAL START
•
Place the machine on a flat, stable surface to start it.
•
Set the Alternating Current (AC) circuit breaker to the OFF position.
•
Turn the fuel cock to the ON position.
•
Place the air lever in the normal working position, RUN position.
•
Set the engine switch to the ON position.
•
Hold the machine by the handle so that it does not move from its position on the ground when you pull the
starter cord.
•
Pull the starter cord until the engine starts.
•
If the machine does not start after a few attempts, follow the cold engine start-up steps.
COLD ENGINE ELECTRIC START
•
Follow the cold engine manual start steps and instead of pulling the starter cord, push the electric start button.
HOT ENGINE ELECTRIC START
•
Follow the hot engine manual start steps and instead of pulling the starter cord, push the electric start button.
VERIFICATION POINTS AFTER START-UP
•
Check that the noise of the machine is normal and that it does not vibrate. If you detect any irregularity, stop the
machine immediately. In case of any anomaly or problem take the machine to the Official Technical Service. DO
NOT USE the machine if it does not operate properly.
•
Check that the voltmeter shows 220-240V. If the voltmeter indicates a voltage that is too high or too low, stop
the machine immediately.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
•
Turn off the engine by placing the engine switch to the OFF position.
•
Place the fuel cock to the OFF position.
USE
•
Start the machine following the instructions in the user manual.
•
Keep the circuit breakers to the OFF position for 3 minutes to warm up the motor without load.
•
If you are going to use Alternating Current (AC), activate the Alternating Current (AC) circuit breaker. (The
generator can not supply both Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC).
•
Connect the electrical appliance to the generator.
•
If the plugged-in appliance has more consumption than the generator can produce, the circuit breaker will cut
off the electricity supply to protect the generator.
•
If this happens, disconnect the electrical appliance and, after a minute, reconnect the circuit breaker.
TIPS
•
If you are connecting two or more devices to the generator, connect them one by one starting with the one
with more power.
•
Remember that most appliances require more power than the one specified on the label to start. It could happen
that this generator, although it can withstand the consumption of the appliance in operation, may not generate
the energy necessary to start it.
•
If you use this generator to power a circuit in a house, make sure that a qualified electrician performs the
operation. Inadequate connections between the generator and household appliances could cause severe damage
to the generator and connected appliances and/or cause fire.
•
If you use the DC output to charge a 12V battery installed in a vehicle, make sure to disconnect the negative pole
from the battery terminal before connecting the charging cables to the generator.
