CAUTION! Take care not to deface the graduations on
the grade rod.
The 2.4m grade rod consists of four
60cm subsections, which are slip-fitted
onto one another and locked in place
by Locking Detents
from 0 to 62cm, 63 to 123cm, 124 to
184cm, and 185 to 245cm.
Each subsection has two sets of
internally located magnets. Store the four
subsections by stacking them together
with these magnets. For added security,
attach the Hook-and-Loop Strap
the 0-62cm subsection with the snap
button (should be displayed on the image)
and tie the subsections together.
To Assemble the Grade Rod
1. Peel back the end of the Hook-and-
Loop Strap
subsections by pulling them apart.
Except for the 32-62cm subsection,
the remaining three subsections are
equipped with connecting members.
Each connecting member has
a different color:

0 to 62cm subsection

63 to 123cm subsection (black)

124 to 184cm subsection (yellow)

185 to 245cm subsection (white)
2. Slide the black connecting member of
the 63-123cm subsection into the black
compartment of 32-62cm subsection
until the detent locks
3. Slide other subsections as described on
the picture noting that the color of the
connecting member and the color of
the compartment should match.
4. After assembly, lightly pull on the
subsections to ensure that they are
securely locked in place.
