5.2.2 Drive Unit
The positioning of condensers/cups and sample rods in the Extraction Unit can be
controlled manually from the Drive Unit if necessary. See Fig. 5:7.

5.3 Software Setup
5.3.1 Pressure Sensor
The pressure sensor is deactivated by default. The pressure sensor senses if the water
dis- appears or decreases. If this happens, the ongoing extraction sequence will be in-
terrupted.
To activate the pressure sensor, press the plus key 7 and also turn the power switch
on.
To deactivate the pressure sensor press the minus key 8 and also turn the power
switch on.
5.3.2 Air Time
When changing the time, the air pump should be on. Press the F key and the
mains.Then enter a new time and press 6.
5.3.3 The Buzzer Signal
The signal sounds continuously after step 3. To deactivate the signal you must press
the set key 4 and at the same time turn on the power switch on the Control Unit.
Reactivate the signal by repeating the proce- dure above.
5.3.4 Overtemperature Setting
The overtemperature (OT) is set according to solvent used. See table 3.
Maximum temperature possible to set:
OT 145 -----> 115 °C
OT 210 -----> 185 °C
OT 330 -----> 285 °C
Warning
The overtemperature setting should always be checked for each
solvent used. Our recommendations are selected according to the
ignition point figure that was available at the time when this
manual was written. To be sure, you are advised to check the spe-
cific safety data sheet for the solvent to be used.
Note: The temperatures listed in the table below are given for
guidance only; they may have to be adjusted for factors like
room temperature, water temperature, heat transfer from hot
plate to cup, etc.
A good temperature is when the drop rate is approx. 3-5 drops
per second.
