Tension the chain so that it can only just be pulled away from
the bar at its center point.
A slack chain may jump off and cause serious or even fatal
injury.
Wear protective gloves if you touch the chain, bar or areas
around the chain.
1. Stop the machine.
2. Loosen the chain cover by turning the chain tension knob
around at least two turns in a counterclockwise direction.
It is not necessary to remove the chain cover to adjust the
chain tension.
3. Turn the chain tension knob clockwise to tighten the
chain.
4. Pull the chain in the middle of the guide bar at the bottom
away from the bar. The gap between the chain guide and
the guide bar should be between 3 mm and 6 mm.
During normal saw operation, the temperature of the chain
increases. The drive links of a correctly tensioned warm
chain will hang approximately 1/16 in. (1.58 mm) out of the
bar groove.

SHARPEN THE CUTTERS
Sharpen the cutters if chain does not go into wood easily.

We recommend that a service center, which has an electric
sharpener, perform important sharpening work.
1. Clamp Bar.
2. Sharpen the cutters corner with a 5/32 in. (4 mm)
diameter round file .
3. Sharpen the top plate, side plate and depth gauge with a
flat file.
4. File all the cutters to the specified angles and the same
length.
