IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION
D. x:panda Installation
WARNING: Improper installation of the x:panda onto the Flip mobility base may cause the
x:panda to disconnect from the mobility base and fall from the frame which could result in
serious injury or death.
1. Place the rear of the x:panda base on the rounded end of the adapter plate. Pull and hold the
locking pin out on the adapter plate and slide the x:panda seat fully until the seat stops
sliding and rear of the adapter plate is no longer visible.
2. Release the locking pin and confirm the pin is engaged.
3. Rotate the anti-rattle lever towards the rear of the x:panda to engage.
4. To remove the x:panda, release the anti-rattle lever, pull and hold the locking pin, and slide
the x:panda off the adapter plate.
E. Transporting of Unoccupied Wheelchair
Ki Mobility wheelchairs are generally suitable for transport in motor vehicles and airplanes.
Wheelchairs should always be secured (specific instructions from carrier required). Depending
on wheelchair configuration, any particular wheelchair may be too large for transport in some
motor vehicles or airplanes. Refer to other sections on how to remove options and accessories
to decrease size for stowing.
