IMPORTANT PRODUCT SET-UP AND COMMISSIONING INFORMATION
• Protective and safety devices must be fitted and commissioned by a service technician
(Fig. A).
• Personal protective equipment and tools required for set-up, commissioning, and
maintenance: protective gloves, safety boots, safety glasses, wrenches, screwdrivers, a Stillson
wrench, rubber mallet, PVC cleaner and PVC adhesive with brush (Fig. A).
• The water facility must be compliant with all domestic and local regulations, especially with
regard to electrical issues.
• The filter must be fitted level on a hard, non-absorbent surface, in compliance with local
building standards, able to withstand the weight of the filter when it is running and allow the
use of anchoring sockets to fix it to the ground if required.
• To avoid electric shocks in the event of a leak, place the filter and pump at least 3 metres away
from any electrical equipment, including switches. (Fig. B).
• Install the filter as close as possible to the pool and 0.5 metres or more below the water
surface level (Fig. C). If the filter must be placed above the pool's water level, a partial vacuum
inside the filter must be avoided under all circumstances.
• Place the filter in an adequately ventilated and drained area able to drain the maximum flow
rate coming from the pool in order to avoid the risk of flooding the room or adjoining rooms.
If this obligation is not observed, the filter's manufacturer may not be held liable for any
potential damage caused by a malfunction of the filter.
•  Install the filter indoors, never outdoors, and protect it from direct sunlight, low temperatures
and freezing to prevent damage to the plastic parts (Fig. C9).
• Ensure that all wastewater is disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Do not drain
water where it may cause flooding or damage during backwashing and draining processes.
• The nominal flow rate of the filtration system must be compliant with current regulations
in your area, based on the size of the pool, the volume of water, the shape of the pool, the
location, the dirt load coming from users and the environment. You must also ensure adequate
extraction of the water from the pool and the proper distribution of the water back to the pool.
For this purpose, the required features of the water pump and the total head loss of the system
must be taken into account.
Please note that any change in the filtration system (pump, suction, valve position, etc.) may
influence the nominal filtration flow rate. The nominal flow rate must allow the total volume
of water contained in the pool to be recycled in no longer than 8 hours, even in the case of a
reduced filtration flow rate, during the night or when the pool is not in use.
• After the filter has been placed in its definitive site and the valve and the connecting pipes
have been fitted, check that everything is working inside and outside the filter. Follow the
instructions for LOADING THE FILTER MEDIUM (Fig. 1): Make sure the pump is OFF. > Turn the
valve to CLOSED. > Remove the top cover of the filter and use a hose to half-fill it with water. >
Cover the diffuser and refill with filter medium up to the amount indicated on the filter label. >
Refit the top cover of the filter. > Set the valve to BACKWASH and open the top air vent. > Turn
the pump to ON. > Water will be drawn into the filter through the collector system. > When the
filter is full, water will come out of the air vent, and it can then be closed. Next, keep the valve
in BACKWASH position (Fig. 2) for 3-5 minutes so that the water can flow back to the drain.
You will see clear water through the valve sight glass, indicating that the BACKWASH cycle is
complete. Next, perform a RINSE cycle for 30 to 60 seconds as indicated in the instructions
(Fig. 3). The filtration system is then ready and the valve can be set to the FILTRATION position
(Fig. 4).
