OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is recycled. The battery is
to be recycled as a lithium-ion battery.
UNIVERSAL AC/DC POWER ADAPTER
1. Remove the wall adapter and charger from the carton.
2. Note the charger comes standard with a universal AC voltage wall adapter.
3. Connect the power cord to the bottom of the clipper (Figure A) and then insert the
transformer into an AC outlet.
4. Unplug charger before plugging or unplugging appliance.
CHARGING THE CLIPPER
The 13.5V
2.2A AC adapter is only intended for use with Andis Model RDLC-1
lithium-ion clipper. Remove the clipper and AC adapter from the carton. Plug the AC
adapter into a 100-240V, 50/60 cycle AC outlet, or as noted on the unit. Plug the
adapter cord directly into the receptacle on the bottom of the clipper (Figure A).
The clipper must be off for the battery to charge. (Figure B). The charging indicator
light will be white and fade in and out while charging. When charging is complete,
the indicator light will be solid white. (Figure B).
The clipper has not been charged at the factory. Please charge the clipper for 60
minutes before FIRST use for maximum performance. When battery is fully charged,
clipper can be used for up to 90 minutes of continuous run time.
This clipper comes with a travel lock. To disengage travel lock, hold power button
down for 5 seconds until clipper turns on. Once disengaged, turn clipper on and off
by pressing the power button. To reengage the travel lock, hold the power button
down for 3 seconds.
FAILURE TO CHARGE
1. Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you
know is working).
2. Make sure ON/OFF switch on the clipper is OFF.
3. Check to make sure adapter cord is plugged firmly into clipper.
4. If failure to charge still exists, return clipper to Andis or an Andis authorized service
station for examination and repair or replacement.
