7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
 WARNING
• Always unplug the mains adapter from the socket and discon-
nect it from the device before carrying out any cleaning.
• Clean the device using only the methods specified. Liquid must
not penetrate the device or the accessories under any circum-
stances.
• Small marks can be removed using a cloth or damp sponge,
and some liquid delicate laundry detergent where necessary.
Do not use any solvent-based cleaning products.
• Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
• When changing the cover, make sure that you do not pull on the
control unit as doing so could damage it.
• The removable cover is machine-washable at 30°C. Please
note the symbols for care and cleaning on the label sewn into
the cover.
• Do not use the device again until all components are completely
dry.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the device for a long period of time, we
recommend that you store it in the original packaging in a dry envi-
ronment, ensuring it is not weighed down by additional items.
Use of other covers
You can use any commercially available cover (40 x 40 cm) for the
device.
As commercially available covers do not have an addi-
tional slot for the control unit

8. WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS?

9. DISPOSAL
Battery disposal
Empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of in specially
designated collection boxes, at recycling points or at electronics re-
tailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.
The codes below are printed on batteries containing
harmful substances:
Pb = battery contains lead
Cd = battery contains cadmium
Hg = battery contains mercury
Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Direc-
tive 2006/66/EC and amendments thereto. Return the batteries and/
or the device using the collection facilities provided.
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in house-
hold waste at the end of its service life.
Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point
in your country. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Direc-
tive Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you have
any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for
waste disposal.
