Start machine
C6
1 Engage safety trigger lock and point gun away from
anyone.
C8
2 Switch on the ignition by turning the ON/OFF button.
C9
3 Set fuel valve (B) to ON (if supplied with), and adjust
choke (C) as needed. Apply choke when starting cold.
4 Check that the throttle lever (A) is adjusted correctly -
need to be in "Run/Fast" position.
C10
5 Pull the starter/recoil rope until the machine starts and
disengage the choke.
Start with electric starter
C11
1 Start the engine by turning the key (see the operating
instructions for the engine).
2 Check that the throttle lever is adjusted correctly - need
to be in run/fast position.
Possible operational setting - Adjust pressure
1 Adjust pressure at lance if using adjustable version - or
2 Adjust pressure at unloader (C15)
a. Higher pressure, turn knob clockwise.
b. Lower pressure, turn knob counter-clockwise
NOTE! Do not overtighten the unloader. Breakage could
result in immediate loss of water pressure and costly
repairs.
Switching on the washer when it is connected to open tanks
(suction mode)
C12
1 Before connecting the suction hose to the washer, fill
the hose with water.
2 Start the washer.
3 Unlock the spray gun and activate it.
4 When using this machine in suction mode, first
ensure that the system has been bled of air by letting
the machine run without high pressure hose and spray
lance mounted until all air has escaped. On some
models you need to kink the by-pass hose and / or
move the engine throttle to minimum position to achieve
enough suction power.
• During work breaks of more than three minutes, switch
off the washer.
NOTE! For automatic suction from a tank,
watercourse or similar sup ply, the inlet hose must
be filled with water before you start. The suction
height depends on the water temperature. Max.
suction height is reached with cold water (up to
8°C/46°F). With 60°C/140°F warm water, the
ma chine must be under or at the water level.
If the water being suctioned contains particles, a suction
filter must be mounted on the end of the hose.
In case of risk of running sands, a sand filter must be
attached.
Using detergents
Some models comes with internal chemical injector,
others with external connection.
1 Attaching "Integrated injector" (a) or "External injector"
(b).
C13
a. Attach the clear chemical injection hose to the barb
on the injector.
C14
b. Use injection kit (1) and attach injection hose
between pump outlet and high pressure hose inlet.
C6
2 Engage trigger lock.
Original instruction
3 Use supplied soap/chemical nozzle to draw soap and
secure it is proper attached. (See "Connections" part).
CAUTION! Adjust to lowest pressure when using
detergent by turning the unloader knob counterclock-
wise.
NOTE! - Operation guide
• Applying detergent from the bottom up helps
avoid streaking.
• Never allow detergent to dry on the surface to be
cleaned as this may cause damage. Rinse small sec-
tions at a time.
• After done using detergent, let trigger run with clean
water in about 30 seconds to purge all detergent from
line. Flush equipment with clean water after using.
D
After using the unit or before leaving it unattended
Stop the pressure washer
D1-3 1 Stop the engine. (See "Switching off machine below")
2 Close the water tap.
D4
3 Press the spray gun until the water is depressurized.
D5
4 Engage the trigger safety lock.
Switching off machine
D1
1 Stop the machine by moving throttle (A) to "stop/slow"
position. "Off" position as well for choke (B) and fuel
lever (C).
D2-3 2 Switch the ignition button to "off".
Disconnecting supply lines
1 Shut off fuel valve.
2 Remove the water hose from the washer.
E
Storing the cleaner
• Store the pressure washer in a dry room without danger
of frost.
IMPORTANT! If the high-pressure washer is stored in a
room with temperatures around or below 0°C/32°F,
anti-freeze should be drawn into the pump beforehand:
1 Remove the water inlet hose from the washer.
2 Remove the lance.
3 Connect the suction hose to the water inlet of the
washer and place it in a tank containing anti-freeze.
4 Start the washer.
5 Hold the spray gun over the tank containing anti-freeze
and activate it to start suction of anti-freeze.
6 During suction operate the spray gun two or three times.
7 Lift the suction hose from the tank containing anti-freeze
and activate the spray gun to pump out the remaining
anti-freeze.
8 Stop the washer.
E1
NOTE! It is possible to lift the machine. See lifting
points.
