The infrared remote control allows to set all operating parame-
ters for the device and functions well up to a distance of 7
metres from the receiver.
AIR FILTER WITH ELECTROSTATIC PRECHARGE
Fire Resistance Class 2 (UL 900).
Easily extractible and provided together with the GLA-R
accessory, in a sealed box, it should be opened only upon
use.
The electrostatically precharged filter is combined to the
normal mechanical filtration of the air that passes through
the filter, also electrostatic attraction of the dust will noti-
ceably increase its filtration (fig. 1).
The electrostatic precharge of the filter is spent after two
years of the box being opened, after this period it behaves
like a normal filter. For this reason replacement over two
years with a new one is recommended (available as a spare
part from Aermec after-sales centres).
Cleaning frequently, removing the dust that has built up
using a vacuum, the use of water and cleaning substances
considerably speeds up the electrostatic precharge deterio-
ration.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
AND MAINTENANCE
The air conditioner is connected to the electric network, any
intervention by personnel without specific technical skills
could cause damage to the operator, the equipment and the
surrounding room.
POWERING THE AIR CONDITION WITH ONLY SINGLE-
PHASE 230 VOLT VOLTAGE
Using a different power supply could cause irreparable dama-
ge to the air conditioner.
DO NOT USE THE AIR CONDITIONER IN AN IMPROPER
MANNER
The air conditioner may not be used to breed, deliver or
raise animals.
AIRING THE ROOM
We recommend to periodically air the room where the air
conditioner is installed, especially if many people occupy
the room or if there is equipment that uses gas or is a source
of odour.
Correctly regulating the temperature
The room temperature should be regulated in order to pro-
vide maximum comfort to the people in the room, especial-
ly if they are elderly, children or ill, avoiding sudden changes
in temperature between the outside and inside above 7 °C in
summer.
In summer, a temperature that is too low causes higher elec-
trical consumption.
CORRECTLY ADJUSTING THE AIR JET
The air that exits the air conditioner must not directly strike
the people; in fact, even if at a temperature that is higher
than the room temperature, it could cause a cold sensation
and resulting discomfort.
CLEANING
To clean the indoor unit, use soft cloths or sponges that are
wet with water at a max of 40 °C. Do not use chemical pro-
ducts or solvents on any part of the air conditioner.
Do not spray water on the external or internal surfaces of
the air conditioner (this could cause a short circuit).
To clean the remote control, use a soft cloth that is slightly
moist.
EXTRAORDINARY CLEANING
Caution: with may be done only by personnel with the spe-
cific technical skills after having removed the power from
the unit, the possibility to access the components inside the
unit allows to carry out thorough cleaning of also the inter-
nal parts, which is a necessary condition for installations in
crowded areas or areas that require high standards of hygie-
ne.
CLEANING PERIODICALLY THE FILTER
Frequently cleaning the filter guarantees greater operating
efficiency.
Check if the filter is very dirty: in this case, repeat the opera-
tion more often.
Cleaning frequently, removing the dust that has built up
using a vacuum, the use of water and cleaning substances
considerably speeds up the electrostatic precharge deterio-
ration.
When the filter is clean, replace it in the air conditioner, fol-
lowing backwards the steps used for removing it.
REPLACING THE FILTER
The electrostatic precharge of the filter is spent after two
years of the box being opened, after this period it behaves
like a normal filter. For this reason replacement over two
years with a new one is recommended (available as a spare
part from Aermec after-sales centres).
DURING OPERATIONS
Always leave the filter mounted on the air conditioner
during operation, otherwise the dust in the air will dirty the
coil surface area.
WHAT IS NORMAL
During the cooling function, water vapours may exit from
the air conditioner delivery slats.
During the heating function, a slight air rustle may be noti-
ceable near the air conditioner. At times the air conditioner
may emit unpleasant odours due to the accumulation of sub-
stances present in the room air (especially if the room is not
periodically aired, clean the filter more frequently).
