19.1 Defrosting frozen food
 When defrosting a heavy piece of high-fat meat, you should only warm it up in the
microwave for a short time and then place it in a container at room temperature.
Alternatively, you can heated it at short intervals with breaks in between.
 Food should be turned over regularly during defrosting to ensure that it thaws
evenly.
 Simultaneous full defrosting of food items of different thicknesses and shapes using
a microwave is not recommended because this can result in uneven thawing.
Melt water can cause some areas of the food items to heat up while others remain
frozen.
We therefore recommend that only approx. 70% of the defrosting process is carried
out using the microwave.
