Once your gas cylinder has been connected and before cooking in your grill for the first time, it is important to wipe
down the surface and edges of the Hot Plate with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. This will dissi-
pate any odors and eliminate any foreign matter from cooking into your food.
The cooking temperature is affected by the following factors:
outside ambient temperature, the amount and direction of
wind, the griddle lid being opened, and the quantity of food
being cooked on the griddle (crowding).
Follow these steps for regular use of your griddle:
1.
Confirm the gas cylinder has been connected properly, the valve
is closed, and there are no leaks. If not, do a leak check.
2.
Set the Control Knobs of the griddle to the "O" position. (A)
3.
Open the griddle lid. (B)
4.
Open the gas cylinder valve to allow gas flow. (C)
5.
Push and turn the Control Knob counter-clockwise to the
(light position)". (D)
"
6.
Push the igniter button until the burners light. After lighting, ob-
serve the burner flame. The tips of the flames should be slightly
yellow (I), tops should be light blue (II) and darker blue (III) to-
wards the bottom. (E)
If ignition does not occur within 5 seconds, turn the Con-
trol Knobs to the "O" position, wait 5 minutes to allow any
accumulated gas to dissipate, then repeat the Lighting in-
structions.
If the igniter continues to fail, follow the Manual Lighting
Procedure or troubleshoot.
7.
After the burners have caught fire, allow the griddle to preheat,
then add your food!
IMPORTANT: If the burners goes out during operation, turn
the Control Knob to the "O" position, and wait 5 minutes to al-
low any accumulated gas to dissipate, and then reattempt the
Lighting instructions.
