Always start the engine from the dotted operating area See Figure 3.
Starting and Stopping the Engine
Remember: Always check the oil level before use!
In dipstick engines, the oil level should always be between the minimum and maximum. In
engines without a dipstick, the oil must be visible up to the edge of the fill hole, when the engine
is in a horizontal position. Always use SAE-30 oil. Use only 95-octane unleaded gasoline. Never
overfill your gas tank.
Home, see Figure 4
1.Open the fuel valve (A)
2.Set the throttle lever to maximum (C)
3.For Gasoline Engines:
Cold Start: Place the choke arm (B) on "Choke"
There is no need to use the choke when the engine is hot.
For diesel engines:
Hitch the Valve Lifter (D)
4.Pull the starter cable (E) to start the engine. Always reinsert the starter cable into the
engine by hand.
5.When the engine is started, place the choke arm in the "Run" position
Electric Start:
For models with electric start, turn the ignition key (F)
Note: For diesel engines with electric start
Engage the valve riser on the ignition of the faucet and hold it engaged until a constant
revolution, then release.
6.When the engine starts, set the choke to the minimum and reduce the throttle slightly.
Stop
1.Release the clutch handle (G)
2.Set the throttle control to "low" (C)
3.For the electric start model, turn the ignition key to "0"
Vibrations can travel to the handle during use. Therefore, we recommend taking a break every 2
hours.
