OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE SCALE
LB/KG: Pressing this button will change the unit of measure displayed. This scale weighs in kilogram (KG) or in pounds (LB) **.
ZERO: Pressing this button will reset the display to zero: 0.0
Preparing Scale for use
1.
Remove the plastic film from display.
2.
Plug the coiled, "phone" cord into the bottom left of the remote head.
3.
Place scale on the floor on a vibration-free, level surface.
4.
Press "ON", Wait for the display to show zero in the units of measure last used (to change the units of measure, see section "Using the Scale: LB/KG"
above). You are now ready to begin weighing.
5.
Always allow the display to return to Zero before stepping on the platform.
AUTO SHUT-OFF: Scale will automatically turn off after approximately 2 minutes of inactivity
DEACTIVATING AUTO SHUT-OFF: While the scale is off, press and hold the "LB/KG" button. While still holding "LB/KG" press "ON". "A _of" will
display. The scales will remain until manually turned off.
"0000": the weight capacity has been exceeded
"-3.0": minus weight, to adjust press ZERO
"bAtt": Blinking means the battery is low
Your new scale operates on one 9V battery or 120V-240VAC, 50-60Hz, 9V DC Adapter
BATTERY USE: Battery compartment is located on the underside of the remote display head. Connect battery +/- accordingly.
ADAPTER USE: First plug into bottom right of remote head, then plug into wall outlet.
WARNING: IF THE SCALE IS BEING CONNECTED TO ANOTHER MEDICAL DEVICE, THE POWER ADAPTER MUST NOT BE USED. DISCONNECT
THE POWER ADAPTER FROM THE SCALE.
WARNING: Use only Battery power when the scale is connected to another medical device such as the Welch Allyn Spot LXi vital signs monitor.
This ensures proper electrical isolation.
The remote head is attached to the scale by a coiled "phone" cord. The remote head can be mounted to a wall up to 2.74 meters from the base, or it can
be mounted on the display bracket (included) for placement on a table up to 2.74 meters from the base.

Use the above diagram to locate the position of the screws at the desired height.

Drill two holes 4.60 cm apart.
3.
Screw the two screws into the wall, let the heads protrude 0.3175 cm from the wall. Extending the heads further could damage the scale.
4.
Align the holes on the back of the remote head with the screws. The remote head should slide onto the screw heads, firmly and securely.

Hold Part A (Stand) with the knobs facing away from you. Slide the center tab of Part B (Support) up an under the tab of Part on the back of the
Stand. Be sure to align the two parts, so that the tab on the Support can slide beneath the tab on the rear of the Stand. The holes on both parts
of the brackets should line up.

Turn the bracket over so Part A is facing you and insert the two screws (included) into the holes and through the openings in Part B.
3.
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, tighten the screws to secure Part B to Part A.
4.
Align the holes in the back of the remote display head with the protruding knobs on the bracket. The remote head should slide down onto the
knobs, firmly and securely. The display bracket is now ready for use.
