To ensure that you are working safely with the booster
pump, before starting it up, you should check that:
▪ The whole booster pump is assembled correctly;
▪ The safety devices are in perfect condition and function
properly.
Never run the booster pump if the safety
devices are missing, inhibited, damaged or worn out.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the correct
assembly of the booster pump if you have any questions or
difficulties, contact your official dealer.
The booster pump is designed to pump clean water with a
maximum temperature of 35°C.
Do not, under any circumstances, use the booster pump
with corrosive, abrasive, easily combustible or explosive
substances (such as petrol, diesel, benzene / thinner),
grease, oils, salt water and sewage (toilets and urinals).
Do not use the pump on water containing sand. Sand
causes and increases pump (especially impeller)
wear and reduces water flow.
The control and safety devices installed on the device must
not be removed or blocked.
Start-up
Carefully start the booster pump following the use
instructions in this instruction manual. Following these
instructions while using the pump reduces the risk of injury.
Booster pumps are not designed to pump continuously.
Otherwise, the service life will be reduced.
Avoid using the pump if the water outlet is either partially
or completely blocked.
Avoid running the pump dry. Operating the pump without
water, damages the gaskets. The pump should shut down
immediately if it detects a water shortage.
The booster pump automatically shuts down if it overheats,
which is detected via overload relay which is inside the
motor. After cooling down, the motor starts automatically.
To switch off, remove the plug from the socket, do not pull
on the power cord.
To avoid frost damage, store the pump in a dry place.
During winter, if the pump is permanently installed
outdoors, check the impeller chamber for the presence of
ice before starting up.
Cleaning:
The pump must be thoroughly cleaned once taken out of
the water.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products
may damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe
operation of the booster pump.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction
manual may be carried out; all other works must be
performed by an official dealer.
Always keep warning and instruction stickers clean and
legible.
Keep all nuts and boll well tight so that the pump is in a
safe operating condition.
If you remove components or safety devices to carry out
maintenance work, they must be replaced immediately and
correctly.
Use only VITO-approved accessories for this device or
technically identical parts. Failure to do so may result in
personal injuries or damages to the booster pump.
If in doubt, if you lack knowledge or resources, you should
contact an official dealer.
Your pump should only be serviced by the brand's technical
assistance service, or by qualified personnel, with original
spare parts only.
