Take the following steps to reduce risk of vibration-related injury:
a) Wear warm clothing when working in cold conditions. Keep hands warm and dry.
b) If numbness, tingling, pain or whitening of the skin of fingers or hands is experienced, stop
using the tool, inform employer (where appropriate) and consult a qualified health professional.
c) Operate and maintain the tool as recommended in the instructions to prevent an unnecessary
increase in vibration levels.
d) Where appropriate, support the weight of the tool in a stand, tensioner or balancer.
e) The risk from vibration is generally greater when the grip force is higher. Hold the tool with a
light but safe grip, taking account of the required hand reaction forces.
f) Ensure the tool and accessories are properly mounted and in good repair: improperly mounted
or damaged tools can cause excessive vibration.
g) Do not hold the inserted tool with the free hand, as this increases vibration exposure.
h) Keep suspended handles in the central position and avoid pushing the handles into the end
stops.

Intended Use
Air hammer, powered by compressed air from a compressor, designed primarily for use on vehicle
bodywork and similar thin sheet metal constructions.
Not intended for commercial use.
The tool must ONLY be used for its intended purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this
manual will be considered a case of misuse. The operator, and not the manufacturer, shall be liable
for any damage or injury resulting from such cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable
for any modifications made to the tool, nor for any damage resulting from such modifications.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions.
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool.
Before Use
WARNING: Always disconnect the tool from the air supply before adjustment or maintenance
is carried out.
Attaching to the air supply
WARNING: Do not use quick-disconnect couplings at tool inlet. Use hardened steel (or material
with comparable shock resistance) threaded hose fittings.
Connecting a whip hose (not included) to the tool:
WARNING: Always use an air whip hose when using impact tools such as an air hammer. An air
whip hose is a short, flexible hose designed to keep a distance
1. Apply some PTFE tape (not included) to the threaded hose fitting of the whip hose. This will help
to maintain an airtight seal.
Note: Apply PTFE tape tightly and in a clockwise direction, so it does not come off when the thread
is screwed into the tool.
2. Remove the protective plug from the Air Inlet (4).
3. Using a spanner (not included) screw the threaded hose fitting on the whip hose into the Air Inlet
located at the base of the handle.

Connecting the quick connector to the whip hose:
Note: This tool is supplied with two different male airline Quick Connectors (5) (Fig. I):
EQ-4 – commonly used in Europe
EN-6 – mainly used in the UK
• If the whip hose (not included) is not fitted with a compatible connector, choose the connector
that is compatible with the airline system you are using, and install as outlined below:
1. Apply PTFE tape to the screw threads of the Quick Connector.
Note: Apply PTFE tape tightly and in a clockwise direction, so it does not come off when the thread
is screwed into the tool.
2. Using 2 x spanners (not supplied) screw the Quick Connector into the other end of the whip
hose.
3. Connect to air line, pressurise carefully and carry out a leak check (e.g. by spraying small
amounts of soapy water on to the outside of the connectors).
• Air lines fitted with matching female Quick Connectors will now be a push fit to the tool via the
whip hose.
Recommended air supply
• This tool should be connected to a clean, dry air supply with inline oiler and water separator.
• Do not allow supply pressure to exceed the maximum stated (see 'Specification').
• Ensure that water is drained from air system daily.
• Ensure that all parts of the system (hoses, couplers, etc.) are correctly rated for the air pressure to
be used.
Fitting accessories
WARNING: Always disconnect the tool from the air supply before examining or changing
accessories. Examine your chisels before using them. If an accessory is worn or cracked, DO NOT use.
1. Insert the required accessory into the head of the air hammer.
2. Thread the Quick-Change Spring (1) over the accessory and onto the screw threads on the head of
the air hammer.
3. Tighten the Quick-Change Spring so that the screw threads are fully engaged, the end loop is
positioned vertically (12 o'clock position), and the shank of the accessory is retained within the
end coil, as shown in the 'Product Familiarisation' image.
4. Pull the accessory back and forth several times by hand, to check that it is securely retained.
Note: Accessories can also be removed and fitted when the Quick-Change Spring is screwed on
to the body of the tool. Carefully push the end coil of the spring sideways, so that the collar of the
accessory can pass the retaining spring coil.
Setting tool power
Note: This air hammer features a built-in pressure regulator.
• The tool speed can be adjusted by rotating the Air/Torque Control Dial (3) as required.
Operation
1. Grip the air hammer firmly with both hands.
2. Rest the tip of the accessory on the workpiece you wish to chip/cut.
3. Gently press the Trigger (2) and move slowly along the workpiece.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT allow the air hammer to run in 'idle rotation' for an extended period of time.
This will shorten its service life.
Note: DO NOT exert excessive pressure on the tool – let the tool do the work. If the material is
not being cut as intended, examine the accessory for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
Consider changing to a different accessory.
WARNING: Be aware that air tools may hold residual pressure after use. Always bleed air
pressure from the tool after shutting off air supply.
