TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Various engine problems.
Unit components are frozen.
Inadequate water supply.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Kink in high pressure dis-
charge hose.
Water inlet screen obstructed.
Pump sucking air (prime elim-
inated).
Not in high pressure mode.
Obstructed or worn spray
nozzle.
Damaged or obstructed valve
assy.on pump.
Pump packings worn.
Bypass valve not operating
correctly.
Water temperature is too high.
Defective valve.
Water in oil.
DO NOT USE!!!!!
Detergent strainer is not com-
pletely submerged in deter-
gent solution
Detergent strainer obstructed.
Detergent hose cut, obstruct-
ed or kinked
Detergent adjusting knob
turned to closed posi-
tion.
Nozzle assembly is plugged
Too many high pressure hose
extensions attached to the
water outlet.
Ball & Spring in Venturi stuck.
Ball & Spring in Venturi re-
versed, missing or corroded.
Gun is malfunctioning.
REMEDY
Refer to the Engine Manual accompanying your
unit.
Allow to thaw. If any part of the unit becomes
frozen, excessive pressure may build up in the
unit which could cause the unit to burst resulting
in possible serious injury to the operator or by-
standers.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter and incoming water
supply is turned on.
Remove kink.
Replace kinked high pressure hose
Remove screen, clean or replace.
Tighten all water intake connections.
Eliminate leaks in intake line
Adjust the pressure on the unloader.
Remove, clean or replace.
Remove, inspect, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Do not allow unit to operate inthe bypass mode
(with trigger gun closed) for more than three min-
utes.
Replace
Change pump oil. Fill to proper level.
Contact Mi-T-M Customer Service.
Check, submerge if necessary.
Inspect, clean or replace.
