- Unlock the wheel from the wedges.
- Move the inflation pedal into an intermediate position (Fig. 36) to inflate the tyre. Fre-
quently check that the pressure NEVER exceeds the maximum pressure indicated by
the manufacturer on the tyre.
Risk of explosion. During the bead insertion phase, do not exceed the maximum
pressure indicated by the manufacturer
Operate the inflation jets only for tyre bead insertion.
Operate the air jets only after making sure that the rim is correctly blocked.
RISK OF EXPLOSION. Do not mount a tyre and a rim that do not have the same
diameter (e.g., 16 and 1/2 inch tyre and a 16 inch rim).
If the tyre is excessively inflated, the air can be released by
pressing the brass manual deflation button located below the
air pressure gauge (Fig.37)
- Disconnect inflation hose from valve rod.
- Move the operating arms to the "non-working" position.
- Remove the wheel from the tyre changer.
Discharge the air from the pneumatic system before disconnecting the power
supply or other pneumatic components. The air is accumulated in the tank for
operating the bead insertion jets.
