5.2 Skin colour sensor
Light-based hair removal on darker skin tones may result in adverse effects
such as burns, blisters, and skin colour changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation).
Silk'n Infinity has a skin colour sensor that detects the colour of your skin
automatically. The skin colour sensor checks your skin colour at the start of, and
occasionally during, each treatment.
If you see no light pulse and the ready/skin tone warning indicator light
a
(#7) blinks rapidly, this is an indication that your skin tone, measured by the
skin colour sensor, is too dark for safe application. Try using the device on a
different part of your body.
5.3 Energy levels
The energy level determines the intensity of the light pulse delivered to your
skin. As the energy level increases, so do hair removal results, as well as the risk of
possible side effects and complications.
U
The device has 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest),
represented by 5 energy level indicator lights (#5).
U
When the device is turned on, the energy level is set to level 1 automatically.
Only one energy level indicator light (#5) will be on.
U
To change the energy level, press the control button (#6) repeatedly to
increase the energy level from 1 to 5. Once at level 5, press the control
button (#6) again to reduce the energy level from 5 back to 1.
5.4 Pulsing and gliding
Pulsing is the best technique for treating specific spots or small areas.
U
Press the treatment surface (#2) against your skin. Work in rows (either
across or down as shown in the image). Start at one end of each row and
progress to the other end.
U
The treatment surface (#2) creates temporary pressure marks on the
treated area so you can see areas you have treated.
