TROUBLESHOOTING
Type of malfunction
What else?
Unit does not start
The device does not start
after it has been plugged
in and switched on.
Unit does not suck in
Air bubbles do not exit at
the return hose
Air bubbles exit from the
return hose
Unit does not generate
Unit has sucked in
pressure
Unit reached pressure,
but the pressure
collapses during
spraying.
Unit does not generate
the max. pressure
possible. Paint
nevertheless exits at the
return hose.
After a longer period of
time, the pressure drops
or the performance of the
suction tube decreases
(although all connected
filters are not blocked).

Possible cause
No voltage applied
Unit fuse has triggered
Capacitor in terminal box
burned out
The sprayer was turned off while
still under pressure
The sprayer's thermal protection
has overloaded.
Inlet/outlet valve clogged /
worn
Pressure control valve turned
down completely
Unit is sucking in outside air
Hydraulic oil level is low
Air in the oil circuit
(Possible reasons: long time not
used, replacement of diaphragm
or hydraulic oil change
Suction filter clogged
Paint cannot be worked in this
state. Due to its properties the
paint clogs the valves (inlet
valve) and the delivery rate is
too low.
Clogged filter do not let enough
paint pass
Tip clogged
Relief valve defective
Inlet valve worn
Outlet valve worn
Tip worn
Measures for eliminating the malfunction
Check voltage supply
Let the motor cool down
Replace capacitor. Please contact Titan Technical
Service
Set pressure relief valve to
Unplug the power cord, switch the unit off, and
allow the unit to cool.
Remove the valves and clean then (-> refer to
Section Pkt.2.1/2.2 of the service manual*) / replace
worn parts.
Force water into the inlet valve by filling the suction
tube with water and running the unit under prime
( circulation). This may clear out the valve.
Turn the pressure control valve to the right until the
stop is reached
Check if Suction system is properly tightened
Check if red inlet is installed in the inlet valve
housing (-> see 4.1)
Check if the inlet valve housing is tightned enough.
Check level with the dipstick in the front of the unit.
Add Titan Coolflo (P/N 430-362)
Vent the hydraulic system (-> see 4.6)
Check the suction filter. If necessary, clean/replace
Dilute the paint
Check/clean the (high-pressure filter) gun filter
Clean the tip
Please contact Titan Technical Service
Replace inlet valve
Replace outlet valve
Replace tip
ELITE 2000
( circulation).
