6. INSTALLATION, PROGRAMMING
AND MAINTENANCE
·
The machine must be connected to earth to avoid any pos-
sible electric shocks to people or damage to the equipment.
·
The plug should be easily accessible when installation has
been completed. The use of extension leads, adapters or mul-
tiple power points is not allowed.
·
The machines must be installed in places where their use can
be supervised by qualified personnel.
·
The machines must be placed on a horizontal surface to en-
sure safe operation.
6.1. INSTALLATION
·
Remove the packaging.
·
Place the machine on a flat surface and lock the wheels using
the brake.
·
Make sure the voltage and frequency are within the operating
range of the machine. See specifications plate (Fig. 26).
·
Plug the power cable into a socket with an effective earthing
contact, duly protected by a 0.03A differential circuit-breaker.
Do not use other appliances in the same socket.
·
We recommend cleaning all the components that come into
contact with the fruit before using the machine.
·
Switch on the power (Fig. 19 (I=On, O=Off)). If the Zummo logo
and the 4 icons do not light up (Fig. 21) this is due to a lack of
power. In this case, make sure the machine has been plugged
in to a live power supply and that the switch is on. After cor-
recting this problem, the Zummo logo and the 4 icons will light
up. When the compressor is ready, the 4 icons switch off and
icon 1 "insert pineapple container" starts flashing. The machine
is now ready to use.

6.2. MAINTENANCE
Outer maintenance of the machine is limited to cleaning.
Every 10,000 cycles a deep cleaning process inside the machine
must be done.
The waste bin has sufficient space for approximately 15 pineap-
ples, depending on the size of the crown.
The waste bin should be emptied regularly. Failing to empty it in
time may affect operation of the machine.
