To reduce the risk of electric shock:
This product requires a properly grounded outlet to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Ensure the power outlet is properly grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances. The plug and outlet should look like those in Fig. A. Consult with a qualified
electrician or service person if grounding instructions are not understood or if there is doubt
as to whether the equipment is properly grounded.
Do not modify the power cord plug provided with the tool. Neverremovethe
grounding prong from the plug. If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
Do not use the tool if the power cord or plug is damaged. Ifdamaged,haveit
repaired by a service facility before use.
Outlet must match the plug. Donotuseany kindof adapter with an earthed (grounded)
plug. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contactwith earthed orgrounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators. Thereis an increasedrisk ofelectric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
Do not expose this product to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the product will
increase the risk of electric shock.
If an extension cord is needed, use a 12 AWG (2.5mm') minimum to supply the
correct amount of current for the tool. Anundersizedcord will result in voltage drop
which will cause loss of power and overheating.
Useonly a 3-wire extension cord with a grounding plug that has a properly
grounded receptacle that will accept the plug on this tool.
