1.9 In case of a defective appliance

A defective appliance can cause material damage and injury:
• Check the appliance for damage each time before use. If you notice any kind
of damage, please contact the manufacturers or their customer service, or
similarly qualifi ed personnel. No not operate the appliance if the motor unit or
any of the accessory parts are defective.
• If the power cord of the unit shows any sign of damage, it must be replaced by
the manufacturers or their customer service to avoid any danger.
• If the blender jug shows any sign of damage or cracking, the appliance must
not be operated.
• The unit does not contain any components that you can service or repair
yourself. Repairs must only carried out by SEVERIN Service (see 'Customer
service' on page 170).
