Adjusting the miter cutting angle

Checking
1. One begins with the upper head of the machine
in its resting position with bolt 32 locked and the
disk in a position of 0º vertical (90º with regard to
the horizontal).
2. Lift the hinge of area 13-a to unlock the control
for adjusting the horizontal angle.
3. Release the control for horizontal adjustment by
pushing the button of area 13b.
4. Move the head horizontally by means of 13 until
the machine head locks in the 45º position on
the left.
5. Prepare the access to the disk surface by lifting
pendular guard 6 using a 9 cm x 4 cm wooden
plug or similar between the table 15 and the
wheels 55 of pendular guard 6. Also lift the front
guard 20 until it stays up on its own.
6. Check that indicator 36 marks exactly 45º. If not,
proceed to adjustment.
7. Check with an angle gauge that between the
cutting disk 16 and the stop guides 8 or 49 there
are exactly 45º. You will notice this due to a
perfect contact of the flat sides of the disk is
perfect and abutment against the flat sides of the
45º angular gauge. There must not be any
spacing or gap between the contacting
surfaces. If not so, proceed to adjustment.
Adjusting
1. Repeat steps 0 to 4 of the checking procedure.
2. Loosen the 4 screws 37. This will allow the head
to 2nd to move so as to enable calibration.
3. Maneuver and push control 13 to move the head
horizontally until indicator 36 locks in the 45º
position on the left.
4. Apply the 45º angular gauge in accordance with
indication 6 of the checking procedure.
5. Move the head until the 45º angular gauge
perfectly fits by its two contact planes with the
stops and disk in accordance with indication 6.
6. Tighten the 4 screws 37 to set the calibration.
7. If necessary, adjust indicator 36 by loosening its
screw and, by moving its arrow until it marks
exactly 45º. Set the adjustment by tightening the
screw.
