Operating Instructions
Congratulations
and thank-you for purchasing this high quality
dehumidifier.
When the dehumidifier has been removed from the carton it is
completely assembled. Two AAA size batteries are required for the remote
control. Refer to the Battery Replacement section on page 4 to install the
batteries. This product has been manufactured with efficiency and safety in
mind so please take a few minutes to understand its parts and controls. In the
following sections please find information on selecting a location, basic electri-
cal safety, the control panel settings, operating components, and care for this
product.
Where to Position the Dehumidifier Unit
For best results place the dehumidifier in a location that enables the best air
movement into, and out of, the unit. We suggest leaving 25 cm of space around
the unit. Secondly, close all doors, windows or other openings to prevent new
moisture from entering the area you are trying to dry. The castors and molded
in handle ensure easy relocation. Never place this or any other electrical
product directly in water.
Built in Electrical Safety
For your safety and protection this dehumidifier unit is manufactured with a
grounding plug. This unit must be plugged into a properly grounded
receptacle. If a proper receptacle does not exist, have one installed. We
recommend that all electrical outlets operate with separate breakers / fuses.
Initial Set-up
You are now ready to start the dehumidifier. Connect the dehumidifier to the
electrical supply. Maximum levels of moisture will be removed from the air
with the humidity control set at the lowest humidity setpoint and the fan on
high-speed. We suggest setting the dehumidifier for maximum moisture removal
for 3-4 days then adjust the humidity level on the remote control to the level
you find most comfortable. The remote will then maintain this particular set-
ting. You can adjust the remote control at any time.
Removing Collected Water
The water collected from the air can be disposed in 3 convenient ways:
1. Remove and empty the water bucket. Start removal of the bucket by first
sliding it out using the hand grips located on each side of the bucket with both
hands. When empty, replace the bucket by using the hand grip(s) to position
the bucket, then pushing inward until the bucket snaps into place. Ensure the
float mechanism is hanging freely inside the bucket.
2.
Direct the water to an existing drain by attaching a hose to the threaded
connector on the water bucket.
3. Place the dehumidifier over an existing floor drain.
Note for options 2 and 3, the blocking disc molded into the water bucket must
first be drilled out with a 5/8" (16 mm) bit. Converting back to the first option
is acheived by installing the supplied drain cap; enabling easy slection of the
method best suited for the conditions of each room.

Remote Control Initial Power-On Mode
When battery power is first applied to the control, it will automatically preset to
following settings:
Fan speed High, Humidity setpoint 35% RH, Bucket-Full
Alarm 'Off', Room temperature is shown in °C.
By default the dehumidifier is set to ONE TO ONE operation. The handheld
control operates a single dehumidifier. To engage this mode, the dehumidifier and
the handheld control must be turned off. Press the 'UP' ARROW & 'MENU'
buttons simultaneously on the handheld control for 2 seconds then press the FAN
button on the dehumidifier. You will then hear a "Beep". This means the "one to
one" is activated.
Operating Mode
When the remote control power button is activated, the Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD) will be illuminated. Current room temperature and humidity level will be
displayed. The icon of the selected fan speed will be displayed. The Humidity bar
will display the user selected humidity level setpoint. Compressor and fan will be
on if the room's humidity level is higher than user setpoint. Once the room
humidity reaches 5 RH% below the user setpoint, the compressor and fan will be
turned off sequentially. The compressor and fan will be turned on again when the
humidity in the room is 3 RH% above the setpoint. Fan speed and power on/off
can also be controlled on the dehumidifier. This feature allows use of the appliance
in the event of failed batteries in the remote control or misplacement of the remote.
When the fan speed is changed on the dehumidifier, it will remain at that setting for
1 to 15 minutes (depending on timing of the last signal from the remote). The next
time the remote control signals the dehumidifier, the fan speed will return to the
setting indicated on the remote LCD screen. If the dehumidifier power button is
used to turn the unit 'off', the remote control will signal the dehumidifier to
resume operation after 1 to 15 minutes (depending on timing of the last signal from
the remote) if the remote is powered 'on'. If the remote is not powered on, the
dehumidifier will remain "off" until the remote is activated or the dehumidifier
power button is pressed. When the power is turned "on" using the dehumidifier
button, the unit will begin to operate with the power-on light and other settings
according to the instruction from the remote. If the remote doesn't communicate
for 30 minutes, the power-on light flashes and the audible alarm (Beep-Beep) will
be generated from the dehumidifier unit. Once this is initiated, you can press
Power button and Fan-speed button on the dehumidifier. The dehumidifier will
begin to operate with the speed according to your selection.
Bucket-Full
6
When a bucket 'full' condition is detected for 2 seconds, the compressor and fan
will be turned off sequentially. The bucket full light on the dehumidifier will
turn "Red". If selected, the Bucket Full Audible Alarm will sound two short
'beeps' when the bucket is full. This sequence will be repeated once every hour
until the bucket is emptied. The audible alarm is emitted by the dehumidifier.
low temperature mode the LED flashes green until bucket is full then changes to
RED solid color.
