10 Setup and Usage
10.1 Installing the Suction Grab Bar (Fig. 3)
The suction grab bar can be installed on sealed and smooth
surfaces.
WARNING!
Risk of Falling!
Incorrect mounting may lead to the suction grab
bar suddenly detaching from the surface. The
check display on the suction grab bar allows the
user to check if it is mounted correctly (it is not a
vacuum display!).
– Before installation ensure that the suction grab
bar is undamaged, free of oil, dust and dirt.
1. Release both folding levers A.
2. Press and hold the suction grab bar evenly with both
suction pads B against a suitable surface.
3. Close both folding levers.
WARNING!
Risk of Falling!
There are two displays C present on the suction
grab bar indicating if the grab bar is installed
correctly and stable.
– If one or both indicators display red, the suction
grab bar is not safely installed and must be
repositioned.
– Make sure that the indicators on the suction
grab bar both display green before using the
product.
Observe warning label regarding the indicators:
Red hand: Do not use the product
when one or both indicators display red.
Green check: Only use the product
when both indicators display green.
10.2 Removing the Suction Grab Bar (Fig. 3)
1. Release both folding levers A.
2. Remove the suction grab bar from the surface.
Lift the suction pads B for easier removal (e. g. with
a finger).
10.3 Using the Suction Grab Bar
As the following safety information does not encompass all
possible circumstances, it is up to the user in the individual
case to check before use whether the suction grab bar is
suitable for the intended application, under the existing
conditions.
WARNING!
– Before every use, check the product for damage
and ensure that it is securely mounted.

If the suction grab bar is used for any use other
than that intended, e.g. as a sports device for
"chin-ups" or as a climbing aid, it can suddenly
become detached.
– Only use the suction grab bar for its intended
use.
– Do not use as sports equipment.
– Do not use as a climbing aid.
– Do not use as carrying handle for loads.
1. Grip the handle of the suction grab bar with one hand
and carry out the desired body movement.
11 Maintenance
11.1 General Maintenance Information
This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning
and disinfection instructions are adhered to.
11.2 Cleaning and Disinfection
General Safety Information
CAUTION!
Risk of Contamination
– Take precautions for yourself and use
appropriate protective equipment.
IMPORTANT!
Wrong fluids or methods can harm or damage
the product.
– All cleaning agents and disinfectants used must
be effective, compatible with one another and
must protect the materials they are used to
clean.
– Never use corrosive fluids (alkalines, acid etc.)
or abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend
an ordinary household cleaning agent such as
dishwashing liquid, if not specified otherwise in
the cleaning instructions.
– Never use a solvent (cellulose thinner, acetone
etc.) that changes the structure of the plastic
or dissolves the attached labels.
– Always make sure that the product is completely
dried before taking it into use again.
For cleaning and disinfection in clinical or long-term
care environments, follow your in-house procedures.
Cleaning Intervals
IMPORTANT!
Regular cleaning and disinfection enhances
smooth operation, increases the service life and
prevents contamination.
Clean and disinfect the product
– regularly while it is in use,
– before and after any service procedure,
– when it has been in contact with any body
fluids,
– before using it for a new user.
