1. Place the motor unit on a firm, level surface,on which
it stands safely.
2. Attach the blending jug to the motor unit.
3. Pour some warm water with a little washing up liquid
into the blending jug.
4. Close the blending jug by fitting the lid.
5. Plug the power cable into the outlet socket.
 The bottom LED blinks red.
6. Press the "ON/OFF key".
 The blender starts to run.
7. Press the "plus key" as often as necessary to run the
appliance at medium speed.
 The blade in the blending jug will be cleaned by
doing this.
8. To switch the blender OFF, press the "ON/OFF key"
9. When the blender has come to a standstill, unplug
the power cable from the outlet socket.
10. Remove the blending jug from the motor unit.
11. Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.
12. Clean the tamper with a customary washing up liquid
under clear, running water.
13. Clean the blending jug with a customary washing up
liquid under clear, running water.
14. Clean the lid with a customary washing up liquid
under clear, running water.
15. Clean the measuring beaker with a customary wash-
ing up liquid under clear, running water.

CAUTION!
Children should always leave the room
before operating the appliance.
If you find the noise made by the appli-
ance irritating, protect your ears.
1. PREPARATION:
Place the motor unit on a firm, level surface,on which
it stands safely.
2. Attach the blending jug to the motor unit.
3. Prepare the ingredients that you wish to use.
4. Place the ingredients into the blending jug. Make
sure that the blending jug is not overfilled. The
maximum filling quantity is 1.7 l.
5. Insert the measuring beaker into the lid and turn the
measuring beaker clockwise until it latches in place.
6. Close the blending jug by fitting the lid.
7. Plug the mains plug into the outlet.
 The bottom LED blinks red.
8. PROGRAM SELECTION:
Select the desired program by pressing the "Pro-
gram key" as often as is necessary for the blue LED
to light up next to the program that you wish to use
or press the "Pulse key" to start the pulse function.
9. If necessary, hold the appliance steady by placing
your hand on the lid.
10. Press the "ON/OFF key".
 The blender runs the program selected. Upon
completion of the program, the blender stops
automatically. Continue as described from
step 15.
11. SPEED CONTROL:
Press the "ON/OFF key".
 The blender starts to run.
12. Press the "plus key" as often as necessary to run
the appliance at the desired speed.
13. If you wish to reduce the speed, press the "minus
key" as often as necessary to reduce the speed to
the desired level.
14. SWITCHING OFF:
To switch the blender OFF, press the "ON/OFF key"
15. When the blender has come to a standstill, unplug
the power cable from the outlet socket.
16. Remove the blending jug from the motor unit.
17. Clean the appliance immediately after use, see "5
Cleaning and care" on page 22.
