7 Troubleshooting

7.1 Troubleshooting by yourself

WARNING!
Risk of injury! The appliance does not contain any parts that you can repair yourself.
– Never attempt to operate a defective appliance.
– Never attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. If your appliance is defective, contact our customer
service department (see "Service Centres" on page 146).
Before contacting our customer service, check with the aid of below table whether you can remedy the problem
by yourself.
Problem
The appliance does
not start.
The appliance stops
suddenly.
The motor unit is hot.
TIP:
– If the problem can not be remedied with the aid of the table, contact our customer service depart-
ment (see "Service Centres" on page 146).
– If you need spare parts or accessories for your appliance, visit our on-line shop under the "Spare

7.2 Accessories and spare parts

You can order spare parts or accessories conveniently
via the Internet on our home page http://www.severin.
com by using the "Service / Spare Parts Shop" menu.

Cause
The power cable is not
plugged into the outlet
socket / the appliance
has no power supply.
The ingredients have
jammed the blade.
The appliance has been
operated for too long.
Remedy
Plug the power cable into the outlet socket.
Switch the blender OFF by pressing the "ON/OFF key" Un-
plug the power cable from the outlet socket. Remove the
measuring beaker from the lid. Use the tamper to release
the blocked ingredients.
Switch the appliance OFF. Unplug the power cable from
the outlet socket. Wait 30 minutes until the motor unit has
cooled down.

7.3 Disposing of the appliance

Appliances that are marked with this
symbol must be disposed of separately from
household waste. These appliances contain
valuable raw materials that can be recycled.
Proper disposal protects the environment
and the health of your fellow men.
Your local authorities or dealer can provide
information regarding proper disposal.
