CAUTION
• If a battery has leaked do not touch the battery fluid. Avoid skin contact (e.g. put on
protective gloves) and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
NOTICE:
• Always use the size and type of batteries indicated.
• Never use rechargeable batteries. This may damage the unit.
• Replace weak batteries before they discharge completely. When "
the display please change the batteries.
• Leaking batteries may damage the device.
If you do not intend to use the thermo meter for longer periods, remove the bat-
teries from the battery compartment before placing the device in storage.
• Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to the environment. Always dispose
of batteries in accordance with applicable local regulations. Do not dispose of
batteries with normal household waste.
The device requires two AAA (LR03) batteries.
• Open the battery compartment.
Use a pointed object to press down on the battery
compartment lock and at the same time slide the
battery compartment downwards.
• Take the used batteries out of the battery compartment.
• Insert new batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are inserted the right way round.
• Close the battery compartment.
Used batteries should not be disposed of in normal household waste. You are legally
required to dispose of the batteries. Dispose of them via your electronics retailer or your
local recycling point.
