9.2 Understanding the general operation
The generator GUARDIAN S6-SOL is an equipment designed to support
photovoltaic installations. The generator will supply power when accumulated solar
or direct energy is not enough.
Our generator has been designed for an automatic start up and stop controlled by
a charger inverter.
The inverter / charger system is the equipment to detect the low level of battery
charge and send a start signal to our generator. Similarly, the inverter / charger will
detect when batteries are recovered and will send the stop signal to the generator.
Not all inverter / chargers are prepared to work with generators, consult the
manufacturer of the inverter if in doubt.
230V power inlet connection: The automatic mode of the generator has little
consumption just because of being active. This consumption is fed from the
generator's battery. It is essential to make the connection "AC 230V input" to
prevent the generator battery discharge.
This connection is from the 230V outlet of the inverter and is connected in the "AC
230V input" of the generator control panel. Thanks to this feed a battery charger
remains active which is located in the generator control panel. If the generator
battery has low charge level it will be recovered thanks to this power, the rest of
the time there is no consumption in that line.
Note: Not feeding the "230V network input" will result in a discharged battery
in a few hours, and soon it will become a severely discharged being the battery
damaged and unusable. The warranty does not cover damage to the battery.
