The DAV wire cutting station is used in industry and the trade for robot MIG/
MAG inert gas welding. The DAV is used when the welding wire must be cut
off at the free end, such as when cutting off the weld bead or oxide layer to
improve the ignition characteristics, changing the torch neck in the ATS rotor
including wire extraction, using seam-tracking sensors and TCP measuring
devices. These operating instructions only describe the DAV wire-cutting
device. The DAV wire cutting device must only be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
This device fulfils the requirements of the following EU directives:
• 2006/42/EC Annex II, 1B for partly completed machinery
• EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
• RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU
The attached safety instructions must be observed.
• The device described in these instructions may be used only for the
purpose and in the manner described in these instructions. In doing so,
observe the operating, maintenance and servicing conditions.
• Any other use is considered contrary to the designated use.
• Unauthorised conversions or modifications to enhance performance are
not allowed.
• Keep the operating instructions within easy reach of the device for
reference and enclose them when passing on the product.
• Commissioning, operating and maintenance work may only be carried out
by qualified personnel. Qualified personnel are persons who, based on
their special training, knowledge, experience, are able to assess the tasks
assigned to them and identify possible dangers (in Germany see
TRBS 1203).
• Keep other persons out of the work area.
• Please observe the accident prevention regulations of the country in
question.
• Ensure the work area is well lit and keep it clean.
