6.3 ASSEMBLY AND CONNECTION
FITTING THE POST
1) Remove the washers (1, Fig. C1) and the screws (2, Fig. C1) then extract
the pin (3, Fig. C1).
2) Undo the screw (4, Fig. C2) and remove the bracket which fixes the post to
the pallet.
3) Place the tilting post in position on the body of the machine, taking care to
pass the air line leading from the post through the slot (5, Fig. C1).
4) Fit the pin (3, Fig. C1) onto the post and fix it with the screws and washers
removed earlier (see Fig. C3). Tighten fully.
5) Tilt the post slightly (see Fig. C4) and fix the fixing pin (6, Fig. C4) onto
the rod of the cylinder. Fix the pin using the washers (7, Fig. C4) and the screws
(8, Fig. C4). Tighten fully.
6) Remove the left-hand side panel by undoing the 4 fixing screws.
7) Connect the air line (9, Fig. C5) to the union (10, Fig. C5), pushing the hose
right down onto the union, then tighten the nut (11, Fig. C5) (do not over-
tighten to avoid crushing the hose to the point where it disintegrates).
8) Unscrew the screws (12, Fig. C6) slightly so that the filter/lubricator unit
can be removed.
9) Fit the casing (13, Fig. C6) onto the post and fix it with the M 6x12 Allen
screw (14, Fig. C6).
10) Replace the filter/lubricator unit.
11) Fit the tilting guard (15, Fig. C6) onto the post and fix it with the 4.8x16
self-tapping screw (16, Fig. C6) already fitted on the post.
