4. Pairing the transmitter with the
receivers
The »alarmo« has to be paired with
every »signolux«-receiver, which is
later supposed to react to it. By doing
so, the indication type is also defined.
To register the transmitter, press and
hold the according receiver's function
key. The receiver's event indicator
icons light up in sequence.
Release the function key as soon as
the desired icon is lit up (for example
the fire icon).
Now press the function button of the
»alarmo«.
Wait for approx. 20 seconds and the
test the setup by pressing any of the
function buttons. The receiver should
now react, showing the according
symbol.
This procedure needs to be repeated
for every receiver unit.
Important notice:
»alarmo«'s radio alarm signal is trig-
gered by the computer-assisted posi-
tive analysis of environment sounds.
Despite of digital filtering and pro-
grammed threshold values, the possi-
bility of a false alarm cannot be fully
excluded, due to the almost limitless
variety of possible sounds (e. g. siren-
like custom ringtones on mobile pho-
nes).
Due to this fact, the Humantechnik
GmbH will take no responsibility
14 English
for false alarms and their effects.
For this reason we advise to test the
function of the »alarmo« by relea-
sing a test alert on the alarm device
(smoke detector, alarm system) which
is to be monitored.
Sensitivity
»alarmo« has been developed and
tested by considering and utilising
many different types of alarm tones.
It is possible to alter the thresholds
of your »alarmo«'s acoustic analysis,
should it fail to respond to the monito-
red alarm device, even after repeated
tests and alternating positions.
This involves opening the chassis and
a certain process.
In this case, please contact the Hu-
mantechnik GmbH for advice.
