BACKREST FUNCTION (BR)

The BR moves towards the head end of the bed during the upward motion. This func-

Caution! Do not operate under load. When operating the mechanical emer-
mattress restricting bar or lifting pole to avoid a sudden lowering.
Recommendation: Handling can be simplified by having the patient/resident firmly hold
the lifting pole trapeze (if available) so that there is no load at all on the backrest.
Handling: Hold the BR in the set position and remove the load from it slightly. Turn the
red lever (on the side of the motor unit covering) in the direction of the backrest.
Handling: Hold the thigh rest in the set position and remove the load from it slightly. Turn
the red lever (on the side of the motor unit covering) in the direction of the thigh rest.
