For releasing the shutter remotely:

Place
the
camera on a tripod

a
secure flat
surface.

control
extends
up
to approx.
Sm (164 ft.) while facing
the
cam
era.
If
the
camera-to-subject distance is
more

than Sm (164 ft.)
away,
use
the self-
timer mode.

sensor
on the
camera
is
exposed to
direct sunlight
or other
strong
light,
the
remote
control
wil

not
operate
properly.

Press the MODE button
until "<o>li0"appears on
the LCD panel.

Remote
control
will
be automatically
canceled
if
not used
for more than

minutes
or
the slide
cover is
closed. That
means that within

continue to
shoot
remotely.

Compose the picture and
shoot.
