4.2. Leg rests
4.2.1. leg rests with footplate
The BX 11 (art. no.: 1612003501) is equipped with a continuous
footplate.
The footplate can be folded up and to the side, positioned at an
angle and adjusted to length of the user's lower leg (Fig. 9).
Folding footrest up and down
The footrest should be folded up for getting in and out of the

wheelchair. Grasp below the footrest and fold it up and to the side
(Fig. 10).
Once you are sitting in the wheelchair, the footrest must be folded
back down. Ensure that the footrest locks back into position.
Adjusting the width of the footrest
The width of the footrest only needs to be adjusted to the seat width of
your folding wheelchair after a replacement delivery.

Before moving off, check for firm attachment of
the legrests!
Adjusting the leg support length
The footrest has 8 settings at 1.5 cm increments for adjustment to the
length of the leg rest.
Remove the two socket screws (4 mm Allen screws) from the leg
support tube (inside and outside), and adjust it to the desired
length (Fig. 11).
Retighten the screws after the adjustment.
Setting the footrest angle
The footrest can be positioned at an angle (Fig. 12).
To do so, unscrew the Allen screw (5 mm socket).
Adjust the angle of the foot plate to the required position by
rotating the toothed ring.
Retighten the Allen screw.
Be sure to make all adjustments equally on both
sides.
When standing up/sitting down on your
wheelchair, please avoid standing on the footrest,
danger of falling or tipping!
