5.10 Repeat functions

With the button REPEAT (11), two repeat func-
tions will be activated, indicated by the corre-
sponding insertion (b):
first actuation of button (insertion REPEAT 1):
continuous repeat of the current title
second actuation of button (insertion REPEAT ALL):
continuous repeat of all titles of the CD
The repeat functions will only be available in the
total title replay mode. If you press the button
REPEAT in the single title replay mode, the
player will automatically change to total title
replay.
To deactivate the repeat, press the button
REPEAT once again. If you change to the single
title replay mode, the repeat will also be deacti-
vated.

5.11 Scratch effects

To simulate scratch effects created by moving a
record back and forth, use the jog wheel (5).
1) To switch the jog wheel to the SCRATCH
function, press the selector button (6) for the
jog wheel once or twice until it starts flashing.
2) Turn the jog wheel back and forth to create
scratch effects.
3) To switch the jog wheel from the SCRATCH
function to another function, press the selec-
tor button for the jog wheel once (button no
longer illuminated, function PITCH BEND
chapter 5.9) or twice (button permanently
illuminated, function SEARCH
5.12 Compiling your individual
title sequence
For replaying only selected titles in a defined
order, a sequence of 20 titles as a maximum can
be programmed.
5.12.1 Programming and
starting the title sequence
1) To activate the programming mode, press the
button PROG (15) in the pause mode. In the
programming mode, the pause symbol
disappear from the display.
PROGRAM (l) will be inserted. The field
TRACK (f) will indicate "0" and the text line (a)
will show the first memory location "P-01".
2) Select the desired title with the buttons (16)
for title selection. The field TRACK will indi-
cate the number of the title selected.
3) To confirm the title selection, press the button
PROG. The next memory location "P-02" will
be indicated.
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all titles of the title
sequence have been memorized.
5) To start the title sequence, press the button
(8). Select the individual titles with the but-
tons
and
. During the replay, the field
TRACK will indicate the number of the cur-
rent title and the text line will show its mem-
ory location number (for MP3 titles, the mem-
ory location number will only shortly be
indicated when the titles change, then the
text line will indicate the ID3 tags).
The titles will be replayed depending on
the operating mode selected (
Activation of the repeat functions (
ter 5.10) will not be possible.

5.12.2 Correcting or
completing the title sequence
1) To activate the programming mode, press the
button PROG (15) in the pause mode.
2) With the button PROG, the memory locations
– the used ones and the next one that is
free – can be selected successively.
– To overwrite a programmed title with
another title, select the corresponding
memory location of the title and select the
new title with the buttons (16) for title selec-
tion, then confirm with the button PROG.
– To complete the title sequence by another
title, select the memory location that is
free, select the title and confirm.
3) To start the title sequence, press the button
(8). The replay will always start with the
first title of the title sequence.

5.12.3 Deleting the title sequence

To delete the title sequence and to return to the
normal replay mode, keep the button PROG (15)
pressed until the insertion PROGRAM (l) disap-
pears from the display. The title sequence will
also be deleted when you open the CD tray or
when you switch off the unit.

6 Maintenance of the Unit

Protect the unit from dust, vibrations, direct sun-
light and humidity. For cleaning only use a dry,
soft cloth; never use water or chemicals.
Note concerning sound interruptions and
chapter 5.4).

Cigarette smoke and dust will easily penetrate
through all openings of the unit and will also set-
tle on the optics of the laser sampling systems. If
this deposit should cause reading errors and
sound interruptions, the unit must be cleaned by
skilled personnel. Please note that there will be
a charge on cleaning, even during the warranty
period!
