after starting the title, press the button CUE
(7). After replaying a title, the player is set to
pause precisely at the spot where the music
of the next title starts. This spot is then mem-
orized as a new starting point.

CD will be played one after the other continu-
ously without pause.
Also in this mode, the beginning of each title
will be automatically memorized as a starting
point; however, contrary to the single title
replay mode, not precisely at the spot where
the music starts but at the time index 0 : 00 : 00.
5.3 Shortly replaying the beginning of
a title
1) Select the title with the buttons (16) for title
selection, the button
required, the button +10. If the total title
replay mode has been activated [SINGLE (d)
not inserted], set the player to pause with the
button
(8) before selecting a title.
2) Once the indication CUE (g) is displayed,
keep the button CUE (7) pressed. The title
will be replayed as long as the button is kept
pressed.
3) After releasing the button, the player will
return to the beginning of the title and is set to
pause. To start the title, press the button
To return to the beginning of the title again,
press the button CUE.
Note: For standard CDs, it is recommended to switch to
the total title replay mode before selecting a title since
malfunctions may occur in the single title replay mode.
For CDs with MP3 titles, both modes will be possible.

5.4 Fast forward / reverse

For fast forward / reverse within a title during the
replay, turn the jog wheel (5).
1) To switch the jog wheel to fast forward /
reverse (function SEARCH), press the selec-
tor button (6) for the jog wheel once or twice
until it is permanently illuminated.
2) For fast forward, turn the jog wheel clock-
wise; for fast reverse, turn it counter-clock-
wise. The forward / reverse speed will depend
on the turning speed of the jog wheel.
3) To switch the jog wheel to another function
after forward / reverse, press the selector but-
ton for the jog wheel once (button flashing,
function SCRATCH
(button no longer illuminated, function PITCH
BEND
chapter 5.9).
5.5 Precise selection of a spot in the
pause mode
With the jog wheel (5), a spot can precisely be
selected with an accuracy of 1 frame (
ond), e. g. for starting the replay from a certain
spot instead of starting it from the beginning of
the title.
1) When you have reached the desired spot
during the replay, set the player to pause with
the button
(8).
2) Turn the jog wheel clockwise or counter-
clockwise to precisely select the spot.
If the jog wheel has been switched to the
function PITCH BEND or SEARCH [selector
button (6) for jog wheel not illuminated or
permanently illuminated], the current spot will
be repeated continuously. If the jog wheel
has been switched to SCRATCH (selector
button for jog wheel flashing), scratch noise
will be heard while the jog wheel is turned.

3) To start the replay from this spot, press the
button

5.6 Return to a spot defined
To quickly return to a spot defined previously,
memorize a starting point (CUE point) with the
button CUE (7).
1) When replaying, set the unit to pause with the
button

When you have reached or selected the next

5.7 Replaying a loop

To memorize a section as a seamless loop and
to repeat it as many times as desired, use the
buttons IN, OUT and RELOOP (17).
1) When you have reached the desired starting
point of the section (point a in fig. 5), press
the button IN. The button will be illuminated

2) When you have reached the end of the sec-
tion during the replay (point b in fig. 5), press
the button OUT. The section between the
points will be continuously repeated. The but-
tons IN and OUT will flash and

the title, press the button OUT. However, the
loop will be memorized. As an indication, the

Hint: The starting point and the end point of a loop can
be defined with an accuracy of 1 frame:

player to pause. Precisely select the point with the

2) Now either go directly to the end point with the jog
wheel or start the replay first, set the player to
pause again when you have reached the end point
and precisely select the end point with the jog
wheel. (Attention: When the replay is started, a Cue
point that has been memorized will be replaced by
the starting point of the section

5.8 Changing the speed

To change the replay speed and thus the pitch in
three adjusting ranges [maximum deviation from
the standard speed: ±4 %, ±8 % or ±16 %], use
the pitch control (14).
1) To activate the pitch control, keep the button
PITCH (13) pressed until it is illuminated. The
display will indicate the PITCH field (k) shortly
showing the maximum value of the current
adjusting range, then the percent deviation
adjusted with the control.
As a basic setting after switching on, the
range ±16 % will be activated.
2) To switch between the three adjusting ranges,
press the button PITCH. After each actuation,
the PITCH field will shortly indicate the maxi-
mum value of the range selected.
3) Increase or decrease the speed with the con-
trol as desired. In mid-position of the control,
the speed will not change.
4) To deactivate the pitch control, keep the but-
ton PITCH pressed for a while until it is no
longer illuminated. The title will be replayed at
standard speed again, regardless of the posi-
tion of the control.
5.9 Pitch Bend – Matching the beat
between two music pieces
When using two players, the beats of two music
pieces with the same speed can be precisely
synchronized with respect to time. Thus, the
dancing rhythm will not be interrupted when
crossfading from one player to the other.
1) First match the speed of the title to which
crossfading is desired to the speed of the cur-
rent title (Changing the speed
2) Synchronize the beats of the title to which

title with the buttons BEND (12): As long as
the button + or - is kept pressed, the replay
speed of the title will be 16 % faster or slower
than the standard speed. This will result in a
