Product Description

The BMF 203/235K-H-_ _-C-A_-... is a magnetic field
sensor and is intended for use in pneumatic cylinders and
grippers having C-slots (BMF 203...) or T-slots
(BMF 235...). The sensor detects the field of the magnet
embedded in the piston through the actuator wall.
The sensor is delivered without any switchpoints taught in.
Within the detection area of maximum 60 mm two
switchpoints (or eight using IO-Link) can be taught and
overwritten as often as desired. When the respective
switchpoint is reached the corresponding output switches
and the position is indicated by the LEDs.
The polarization of the installed position magnets on the
moving piston part makes no difference.

The type of the sensor (PNP/NPN; N.O./N.C.) is set at the
factory and cannot be reprogrammed later.

The normally open or normally closed function can be set
via IO-Link.
With IO-Link versions a total of eight switchpoints can be
taught. When the respective switching position is reached,
the corresponding position is reported to the master via
the IO-Link process data.
If no IO-Link connection is opened (SIO mode), the IO-Link
versions work just like the PNP versions BMF...-PS/PO-...
