Access locks (Device Access Locks)

With the standard parameter Device Access Locks (Index
0x000C (12)) it is possible to activate or deactivate certain
functions of the IO-Link device.
With the BMF, there is the option to lock the function of the
parameter manager and the button. To do so, the
respective bit of the 2-byte value must be set to 1 (locked).
In order to unlock the function again, the bit is set to 0.

Profiles and functions (ProfileCharacteristic)

The ProfileCharacteristic (Index 0x000D (13)) parameter
indicates which profile of the IO-Link device is supported.

Process data structure (PD Input Descriptor)

The PD Input Descriptor parameter describes the
composition of the process data used.
Every part of the process data is described by 3 bytes.
