Diagnostic data

The BMF reports diagnostic data (events) to the controlling
system (see Tab. 7-9) or the controlling system can read
out the status using the diagnostics parameters.

Meaning
TEACH-TIMEOUT – The teach-in process was not finished within 10 minutes.
No parameters were changed
DEVICE TEMPERATURE OVER RUN – The temperature has exceeded the specified
maximum temperature. The heat source must be removed.
VOLTAGE UNDER-RUN – The supply voltage has fallen below the specified value.
The supply voltage must be checked.
HARDWARE FAULT – There is a problem with the device hardware. Restart the BMF by
interrupting power. If the event is repeated, the BMF must be replaced.
Access Values
Read Only 0 = Normal state
2 = Warning
4 = Error
Read Only Up to 3 active events:
1st byte event type (0 = No event,
0xE4 = Warning, 0xF4 = Error)
2nd and 3rd byte event code (see Sec. 7.6.2)
Read Only Most recent valid process data (see Sec. 7.2)
