INTRODUCTION
Every single interaction between the operator and the machine has been carefully studied and
analysed during the planning stage.
Manufacturing choices, technical characteristics of the machine and the instructions mentioned
in this document are directed to assure a higher level of safety to the operator and the people
exposed to danger.
According to the " 98/37/EC Machine Directive " users are reminded about the following
definitions:

"Risky areas": any area inside and/or near the machine where the presence of someone
constitutes a risk to the safety and health of this one.

"Exposed Person": any person who is completely or partly in a risky area.
n
"Operator": a person or people in charge of the working, regulation, ordinary servicing or
cleaning the machine.
The following classification is used in order to better define the operation area and relative skills
of the "operators", as well as making the reading and comprehension of this manual easier:
A
Operator:
Skilled and authorized person who is charge of the machine working with active
protections by using the controls on the panel.
B
Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Skilled and authorized technician who is able to install, repair and carry out extraordinary
mechanical maintenance
C
Electrical Maintenance Technician:
Skilled and authorized technician who is able to install, repair and carry out extraordinary
electrical maintenance.
P
Manufacturer's Technician with mechanical skills:
for difficult and/or particular operations.
O
Manufacturer's Technician with electrical or electronic skills:
for difficult and/or particular operations.
The employer must instruct the personnel about accident risks, pre-set safety devices for the
operator, asking the respect of the regulations and company rules regarding safety and
protection means.
The operator must respect the directions and instructions given by the employer or by the
authorized personnel and must especially:
- Use the machine, equipment, tools, working equipment and safety devices properly.
- Use individual safety devices properly;
- Report immediately possible risky conditions;
- Do not remove or modify the safety devices or control signs;
- Follow the instructions mentioned in this manual carefully;
